VERIDAS Play Biometric Scanner
Veridas,the world’s leading company in the field of biometrics and access, contacted us to design their new scanner. The sleek yet sturdy design of Play and its 10-inch screen redefine access experiences at events, venues, and more, providing incredible speed and security while enhancing interactions. Both conceptually and technically, the Veridas Play scanner posed a development challenge that we managed to tackle successfully. bigD did everything from conceptual design to engineering of the injection molded parts.
Although it was primarily intended for first division football stadiums, the brief required a high-performance product. In addition to being versatile and robust, its aesthetics had to be recognizable and convey the values of Veridas’ new brand.
Versatile and Robust
The project required high IP65 and IK10 specifications to withstand the most adverse environments and thus increase the product’s lifespan. Additionally, its installation was studied and simplified to make the process easier for the installer.
Right to Repair
The entire assembly is designed to be easily disassembled and repaired. All components can be easily replaced, increasing the product’s lifespan and reducing its environmental impact.
