Autonomous Passport Renewal Station

Das Gate needed an autonomous passport renewal station capable of conveying advanced technology while remaining ergonomic, manufacturable, and adapted to its real context of use, particularly in public environments such as airports. At bigD, we approached the product design with a strong focus on usability, ergonomics, and clarity of interaction, enabling users to complete the process independently, without human assistance.

The design was conceived to operate in high-traffic public spaces, featuring a robust architecture suitable for intensive and continuous use, and a layout that supports an intuitive and secure user experience. Considerations around durability and maintenance were also integrated from the outset, ensuring a product designed for reliable operation within demanding public infrastructures.
