This week we share a new book, this time, about Industrial Design, “DECONSTRUCTING PRODUCT DESIGN” by William Lidwell y Gerry Manacsa. Published by Rockport Publishers in 2009. Its purpose is to explore the meaning of “good design” in terms of consumer products, so it presents 100 innovative products and analyzes them by deconstructing and exploring their different characteristics : Form, function, sustainability, usability, technology …. All evaluated according to the emotional response generated and different objective analyzes performed by experts from several disciplines of design. The ultimate goal of this book is to discover a pattern of success and failure when approaching a product design.
